Question: Which is a Better Way to Go About Things?

Well here is my situation

I am thinking of enlisting in the National Guard,
and enrolling online to get a degree from the university of phoenix

would it be better to keep my current part-time job or accept a full-time job that im not to thrilled about because it pays good ($32,500 p/y) ?

with my part-time job I struggle with some bills, but work in the day and enjoy it
its physical (i am a courtesy clerk at Safeway)

the full-time job would be shift-differntiall and not really that physical unless called for (correctional officer at a detention center)

either i would still be able to join the NG and go to school online, but with the full-time job i could manage the expenses of getting an education alot more easier and i could easilly buy myself a nice car
(which i have never owned one yet because i never know how much i will get paid p/m to afford one)
and probably be able to manage life on my own in an apartment and save money as well

but if i keep my part-time job i could advance in the company more and more
and have free-time on my hands to enjoy myself and hang out with friends in the evenings
with the full-time job i couldnt really i would basically work, sleep, do drills and educate myself online
kinda boring way of life

but what really does sound in your opinion the better option

Answer:

It helps to go to school first. You want to get all the learning out of the way so that you can move on with your life. Realistically the only way you are going to make more than you do now is by being educated, otherwise instead of wasting a few years of your life on school, you are going to waste your whole life working.
