Question: What do you recommend me?

I am a little new here in San Antonio, TX. I came from Mexico 7 months ago. I am 21 years old. I have not worked because I was waiting for my Social Security number and my Residence Card. I already have my papers, all this time I have been learning the language. I think right now I am able to get a better job, because I speak English and Spanish, on January I got my (English) GED, and I am going to go college on March. I am sociable, I know how to use computers, I am smart and I want to start working as soon as possible, but I have been trying to apply online and they ask me for 1 year of experience at least. I do not know what to do. I do not know where can I apply and demonstrate them I can learn fast. Please if you know about a company I can apply, or if you have an advice for me, please let me know! Well, I live in Illinois and it is really hard to find a job here, so I have been looking in the local newspaper for jobs in my area that are hiring and just applying like crazy. You speak English and Spanish so a waitressing or bartending job would be good, especially if it's a place that tips well. Also, places like that may be flexible enough to fit your schedule when you start attending college.
