Question: What is meant by "Two Way Communication Process"?

Hi, I'm applying for a job, and in the application it is asking me what I understand about the term "Two Way Communication Process".

To me, two way communication process would simply be the effective, clear and concise communication between two parties and/or individuals whether it be face-to-face, over the telephone, by mail or any other form of communication. I'd also say that two way communication that is kept to a very high standard can help ensure the smooth running of the tasks and jobs needed to be completed by the business and should be maintained at all times.

Is that correct or am I getting the wrong idea here?

You're right in that it is an interactive exchange between people but it's not necessarily clear, concise or effective. It can only be those things if all the people involved are that way themselves.
