Question: What jobs can one get with a degree in International Development Studies?
I'm thinking of double majoring in International development studies and Political Science.
I'm really interested in journalism, documentary film making, activism etc...
Does this sound like a beneficial double major?
What areas of work are there with a degree in international development studies?
Thank you in advance! xo
Answer:
In the US you'll need a masters degree for any hope of a job traditionally affiliated with that type of major. You could do administrative assistant-type work for a nonprofit or entry-level work on the Hill, but you'll find that your relative lack of education will prevent you from moving up the ranks.
Of course, making documentaries doesn't require a degree of any sort. Just money.
