Question: The Best Jobs for Travelling.?

I want to go travelling. I want my life to be going round the world and living in random places for months on end and experiencing the culture there. Europe mostly but other places as well.

Should I take journalism, the job I desire. And hope for a job, going travelling on yearly vacations. (3 - 4)

Or. Should I take teaching, which will take longer, and go travelling on summers, or take time between years and teach English in Japan or the like. (6 years)

Or. Should I take nursing. Which will give me money to travel quicker, but will be a job I hate and will do away with as soon as possible. (2 years)

Answer:

Most journalists these days are free lance. they research and write their own articles then sell those to the news sources. Not many are actual employees of the news companies.

Teaching pay is not normally high enough to allow for traveling trips every summer. However, if you learn a language with the teaching degree, you might be able to become an interpreter for the government. That would give you travel opportunities with countries that speak the language you learn.

You know you will not be happy nursing so you will probably not be very good at it either. Don't sentence yourself to a lifetime of something you don't like. I have a nurse friend who is in her 50's and she hates it. She drinks A LOT in her off time. I mean A LOT. She hates her life.

You can try to become a flight attendant. That would enable you to do a lot of traveling all over the world while getting paid for it too. A pilot, navigator, or communications engineer would also allow you to be in the cockpit and travel while getting paid, however there is usually a lot of military training required for that kind of job. You might also try being a ticket agent so that you get to fly for free as long as you use the airline that you work for.
