Question: Salary dilemma for the job being offered?

I have been provided a job in Kids Gallery, it is Hongkong based school opening in Delhi,India. The post offered is of Assistant teacher. So now I'm confused about the salary that I should be telling them. The kids that I would encounter is of 3 to 5 yrs age. The school is little far from my home too. Please help

It sounds like a job where you might be able to get 25k a year if you are lucky.

I would suggest that you talk to fellow teachers who would be able to give you more information about the salary range for your experience and type of teaching. Yes, considering that it is your first job, you wouldn't be paid an exorbitant sum, but then again, this school is HongKong based, and might have higher brackets in line with international standards.

Either case, talk to teachers and get an idea of how much you can quote to the school authorities.
