Question: Resume to Disney, I really need someones help!?
I am 18 years old girl and I really want to apply for summer job in Paris. I have been an exchange student in Brazil, so I am quite open-minded to everything. Sadly, I have no idea how to write a resume. And I also haven't job experience. Can you check the things I wrote, suggest what to write more and how to make it better. I also have learned english only for 4 years, so it would be nice of you to see if I have some misspelling.
Personal Statement:
I am a very hard-working, honest and friendly person. Usually I give the best of me everywhere. I have the ability of habituating myself quickly in diverse situations. I love meeting different people and communicating with them. It means that I am tolerant and always opened to everything. I don’t have any work experience, but I have been an exchange student in 2009 in Brazil. I regard myself as dedicated with an adaptable approach.
Key Skills:
I am patient and understanding with others. I am also very helpful and adaptive in every kind of situation. I am organized with good time-management skills. I love communicating with people.
I am also very energetic. I have been a gymnast for 7 years (I stopped 5 years ago due to team decomposition). I learn easily dancing and theatre or other entertainment. I am not afraid of being in the public eye.
I do love being with children. I am from 5-children family, so I have a lot of experience of communicating with kids.
Education:
I have graduated elementary school (in Estonia it’s 9 years) with decent grades. At the moment I am studying in the 10th form – the first year of high school. I am one year back from my age in school, because I was an exchange student and passed one year.
I know these languages: Russian and Portuguese (speaking level), English, Estonian and a little bit German. I have learned French for 4 months, so my knowledge is elementary.
Is it necessary to put my grades here? Or some copy of them?
I would be truly thankful if someone could help me. I know it is very much, so I appreciate any help.
Answer:
I got tired just skimming it. A little long for a response on Yahoo. As a resume format, you should be alright.
*Actually no. If that's a direct replica of your resume, you need to revise. You need some bullet points, bold type in some areas and accomplishments that stand out. I didn't even read it; i skimmed it. Think of what an employer would do.
* Google some resume building techniques. There's actually a lot of resume applications out there in which they set the foundation and you just fill in the blanks.
