Question: Living abroad 2 years, do I stay or go back home?

I have been living abroad now for 2 years. Originally, I had come to Geneva, Switzerland for a 1 year paid internship, which then turned into 2 years when they asked me to stay. I was planning on moving back to the US after 2 years, but was still applying for jobs here. And I have just been offered a full time great opportunity job, well paid, etc to stay with an NGO. I'm 27, currently single (was in a complicated relationship with a guy for most of the 2 years) and have no prospects in the US. I am scared I will miss everyone/everything at home, but afraid that if I go back home to no job, that I will regret it after being back for a week. Anybody have any advice that can provide perspective on my situation? I am so scared I will be choosing a career life over being close to my parents and brother, as well as friends. I also worry, it'll be harder to meet a 'potential husband' here. Any insights? So confused...

Answer:

If career is more important ,as you have been offered a full time great opportunity job, and have no prospects in the US, it is my sincere advise that you should not go back home. However if you are home sick and do not bother about your career, please get back. You are the better judge than any one else !!
