Question: I have been thinking about my future a lot lately?
And I think I want to be an animal expert, that gets to travel around africa, and look after animals too. But where am I going to get the funds from? What job can I have before I go to Africa, and what school subjects do I have to take for it? BTW, Im only 14, and please, I am very serious, so only serious answers.
Answer:
Sakura,
I imagine that to be a professional that works with animals, you will definitely need to study biology. There are also other types of careers that don't require a specialized degree such as park rangers, zookeepers, etc, but if you are 100% serious about a career with animals, you could consider being a veterinarian or biologist. Otherwise, most roles travelling to africa looking after animals are likely to be difficult to come by and/or voluntary (ie charity work).
Here's a more generic link to roles that involve animals:

This is a link that explains (in great detail) the different fields within biology. (It can be quite complicated)

Take a look at this presentation too that should give you some ideas on what to study to be a Vet: http://www.bva.co.uk/1148.aspx
Its nice to see that at the age of 14 you are thinking well in advance of what you need to do to achieve a dream career. Good luck and I'm sure you will be successful if you have determination!
