Question: How to write a resignation letter for part time job?
So, on March 20th 2012 I will be leaving Canada and heading off to Japan to study abroad for a year (so school/education reason). I have been working at my current part time job for a year now, received employee of the month, I am friends with a lot of my co workers, and I love my job. I want to leave in the right way, but this is also my first job (so first resignation) so I don't know where to start!
I would like to leave it in a good note, that they might consider to hire me back when I get back to Canada after a year. I just don't know where to begin!
Any help?
Answer:
Yes. Talk to them before you give a written confirmation of your resignation. That way you can explain the (very good) reasons for your departure and emphasise how much you've enjoyed working with them.
