Question: How much do you get paid for these jobs?
I live in the UK, so answers in pounds are preferred to dollars, but whatever you know will help:-) before you ask I've searched google and either not found an answer or found a variety of them. By the way I'm 14 and choosing my GCSE's later this year, and at my school we're starting to think of what options we are going to take and what job we would like to have. Even if you only know the answer to one, I'll still be very grateful for it!
-Lawyer -Salary preferred per month or per year
-High School teacher -Salary preferred per month or per year
-Primary School teacher - Salary preferred per month or per year
Journalist -Salary preferred per month or per year
-Owning my own business, (a beauty salon)- Salary preferred per month or per year
-Club rep (working abroad in different countries at hotels during days and nights) -Salary preferred per month or per year
I know this might be a random selection, but these are what I'm interested in, and what I think I may be capable of. Everyone wants to try and get a job with a very good pay, which is why I want to find out:)
Answer:
nobody can answer this as there are starting salaries and different salaries depending on where you work and your qualfications and skills
Owning your own business can be a loss as well as a profit, and also the size of a business will reflect what the profits and costs are
business owners don't take a salary as such, they take what they want from the profits, presuming there are profits
Club reps are seasonal workers and to be honest hardly exist any more
as more and more people book their holidays on the internet
the hotels themselves have 'entertainment' teams and buy in entertainment as well from local artists
Lawyer - Salary preferred per month or per year
Once you are fully qualified (which can take 4 - 6 years in total) the salary will average about £50,000 a year.
High School teacher -Salary preferred per month or per year
Primary School teacher - Salary preferred per month or per year
Not brilliant, to be honest. You will need a degree, and a PGCE to be a teacher, and the average salary (unless you are very experienced, or a head) will be well below the level paid to university lecturers (which is an average of around £40,000 a year).
Journalist -Salary preferred per month or per year
In the £20,000s usually.
Owning my own business, (a beauty salon)- Salary preferred per month or per year
If it's your own business, you cannot apply the concept of "salary" - it is whatever you choose to pay yourself (or however much you are able to).
Club rep (working abroad in different countries at hotels during days and nights) -Salary preferred per month or per year
No idea, but I would be surprised if it was above £20,000's.
All of the above are averages, and you need to be aware that even in a traditionally highly paid job, you will start at the bottom of the respective pay scale. Average takes into account all levels of experience and agegroups.
U could check on a site like cbsalary.com and get some averages or just Google "average salary for lawyer" and I'm sure one of those salary comparison sites will come up
