Question: Help with Fundraising ideas?

So, I am trying to get into an exchange student program where I go to a different country, study their language and culture and go to school for a year or a semester. (For me, probably either Australia, somewhere in Great Britain, or France.)
Academically, I am qualified for this opportunity, but as most can assume, this kind of thing isn't cheap.
The lowest price I am looking at would be around.... $9000-10 000
So, yes I am looking into well-paying jobs, but fundraising on the side will help a lot.
Does anyone know of any good ways to fundraise?

you could also try getting a working visa and look for some one in these countries that could help put you up for the year for helping with some stuff at their home.
