Question: Can you help me pick a job/career when I'm older?
I'm still not sure of what I want to do when I'm older because I have VERY broad passions
One of the things that I want to do is play soccer at a professional level. It has been my passion as I love the sport and I am willing to put in the effort (I'm also pretty good. I'm not arrogant)
Another passion that I love is video games. I LOVE playing on my PS3, Wii, 3DS etc. I even have ideas on wanting to make a video game and it would be awesome to work in the video game industry
I'm also interested in traveling around the world (mainly Europe and the middle east). I've always wanted to go visit the ancient cities in Italy, Greece, Turkey (mainly Istanbul), see the Islamic mosques of Israel, Jordan, Yemen, Syria etc. I want to visit these countries when I'm older, learn about the culture of each area. I want to visit the ruins and cities of the civilizations that inhabited the lands hundreds of years before me, traveling though endless mountains, deserts, seas etc. and document those journeys. I can't stand knowing that there is a broad world out there and I'm stuck in one place. I want to be a traveler and visit these ancient cities
Can anyone give me some advice on which one would be easier? PLEASE do not tell me that only I will know, I'm asking for advice
At least give me some career options based on what I've told you. Anything at all. Thanks in advance
Answer:
We share some similarities... Well soccer player is really tough, the best way to be pro is to join an academy at an early age then go on to play at the college level. But odds are too low... If you love video games, become a video game tester or designer, they get paid good money. If youlove traveling the world, you should become a pro photographer. Or a anthropologist. And since u mentioned visiting cities, become a sociologist. Wish you the best
Well, if I were you, I probably wouldn't base your future career goals on soccer or video games because that is totally unrealistic.
As far as your love for traveling and wanting to experience the world, what about a career in sociology? You could go and study all the cultures of the places you want to visit.
Or you could be a historian, or something else along those lines.
You could make documentaries about what it is like to live in those places.
When the time comes, you'll know what you want to do. Don't stress over it too much.
Good luck :)
