I received a email from CareerBuilder.com from a Leslie Benson with Arbonne International Career PLC that wants me to cash checks sent to me in my name and take 10% commissions from each check and then Western Union the rest to them. I want to know it it is legal and safe for me to do so...Thanks in advance!!!!
Answer:
The real Arbonne International is an actual corporation, http://arbonne.com/ which receives many awards for it's business practices. The "Arbonne International Career PLC" is a scam, which attaches itself to an actual company, in order to "trojan" it's way into your bank account.
This is a well known scam.
The checks sent are forgeries, and they hope that by the time the bank finds out, you have already sent them the money. You will then be on the hook to make good the check amount, and you may be charged with being an accessory to fraud and/or money laundering.
Google the internet to read more about it. Again, this is a very well known scam, the Western Union part gives it away completely.
