Question: A job for a 14 year old?
I cannot stress how important it is for me to get a job this year before summer. I've been offered the opportunity to study abrouad for three weeks in June, and being that my dream has been to travel the world i've finally come across my chance. The fees for the plane tickets are quite expensive for the trips to france, italy, and greece ( about $3000). i'm not sure how my family will be able to aford this for me nor am i exactly certain that i'll be going, but i would like to work fro the as much money as i could get untill the trip.
(please don't suggest any suburban jobs such as lemonade stands, washing cars, yard sells, and pet sittings. I live in the middle of no where in alabama, and it's especially hard to get any jobs being that every one has relatives that'll do chores for free here. Perhaps suggest online jobs or fastfood restruants? Remember jobs for 14 year olds)
Answer:
i know you said you live in the middle of nowhere but local shops and stuff are great places. or go to a town and apply in little shops and such. hope this helps! good luck!
Around here, I live in Indiana, the kids who are 14/15 usually get jobs baby-sitting, fast foods like mcdonalds works too, and I live next to a blueberry farm that alot of kids work for.
See what kind of people are offering. Baby-sitting might seem lame but it got me a good 20 bucks for one night of babysitting which if it's one kid usually involves watching tv with them. I've seen cars like 20 times because of that..
But anyways just ask your parents friends, or teachers. Weird but I babysat for my 5 grade teacher for years.
you could babysit, dog walk, or work at krogers. I wish i was 14, i have to wait a whole year to apply for a job at kroger or fastfood
